Our Process
At STILE Contracting + Design we follow a reliable project management process to ensure that we deliver designs that are both thoughtful & comprehensive so that your project flows smoothly from start to finish.
Experience has shown us a standardized design-build process makes the renovation experience more enjoyable and predictable for our valued clients. Here’s how we work:
Phase one
Project Initiation
Your project will begin with an in-home consultation (up to 2 hours). During this time we will get to know each other, discuss your project in depth and listen to what’s working and what your ultimate vision is for your home – paying close attention to your functional requirements and your style preferences. Together we will review our process, contract & answer any questions you may have.
Once you’ve decided to work with us, and with a preliminary scope of work in hand we will present you with a customized letter of agreement. Signing this document and paying the retainer will mark the official start of your project!
Phase Two
Planning, Design + Presentation
The planning phase starts off by having one of our in house Contractors and Project Managers visit the site to assess the possibilities & take any additional measurements and photos needed. Next we will take all of this info back to the office and start the design phase. Good things come to those that wait – this phase typically takes 2-4 weeks during which we will prepare the proposal along with drawings and all selections to complete the work.
On presentation day we will reveal the design plan, along with drawings and physical samples as well as a comprehensive quote. Once you sign off on the plan, the contract and deposits are paid the fun can begin!
Phase Three
Construction + Project Management
This is the fun part! We will begin placing orders and scheduling the trades. Your project will be overseen by one of our talented Contractors/Project Managers as well as our design team to make sure that regular milestones are met and that the vision for your home is maintained.
After a good clean we will hand your keys back for you to enjoy or take you to the finish line with final furniture and décor installation.
